Weekly photos #3

I'm so sorry I'm posting this on a Monday and not Sunday, as I usually do. I'm out of town for a few days since we have a national holiday next to a autonomous community (which is kind of like a state), and we just went away to the town where my mom was born since we have a house here too.

The weather is the worst (it's raining all the time, non-stop), so I haven't been able to do much yet, but I'm hoping we can go to a few places around here and I can take some nice photos to show to you all.

1. My sister and I decided to eat lemons just like that and see who made the worst face after. She claimed she loved lemons and when she tried it, her face was hilarious. I wish I had taken a picture of that instead haha.
2. That's my cat, but I say she's my baby. I love her so much and she's been just laying around this house, exploring it like a crazy cat. I mean, this house is a 3-story house which is huge for her since we live on a flat/apartment type of house (although it's not small).
3. I finally decided to get the Make Up For Ever HD Foundation and I've been loving it. I think it's worth the money: it was 38€.
4. I love strawberries and my father's been buying them a lot, so I'm happy about that.

5. My father also gathered some flowers the other day on this place close to our house here, since this is a small town and has country side around it.
6. That's my cat again, on the kitchen window, looking to the patio we have here.
7 - 8. These are some pictures taken in Madrid, where I usually live. I love the center of the city (where I went to Sephora was close to those buildings) and I feel like it's a unique city that most of you probably haven't seen before. Also, I feel very proud to live where I live although I want to move to the states, and I like showing you all some parts of this beautiful city :)

Inspired by: Elena Gilbert

I love creating outfits inspired by TV characters because I find interesting how you can see a character and immediately know what outfits they would and wouldn't wear.
This time I created this one and I got my inspiration from Elena Gilbert who is played by Nina Dobrev in The Vampire Diaries.

I hope you like this post and please let me know if you have any inspired outfit request from either a fictional character o a real person.

Nail of the day - Lemon Fizz

I'm excited to show you this because it's my first time trying a yellow nail polish. I've never thought I'd like yellow nail polish because I think some polishes can be too bright or too in your face. Anyhow, this nail polish that I'm showing you is more on the pastel side and it's pretty light, so I actually really like it.

As you can guess by the little of the post, it is "Lemon Fizz" by China Glaze. I think this is one of the most popular yellow nail polishes and that's why I decided to get it: if so many people liked it, it had to be pretty. And it is:

2 coats, natural light
Like I said, I like how it's more on the light side and it's not too eye catching; although there were a few people who noticed it and commented, but they all said they liked it.
I recommend it to all of you, specially if you're afraid or hesitant to get a yellow nail polish, and hopefully you'll love it too.

Weekly photos #2

Another week has gone by. I didn't do much because I'm mostly at college and all that boring stuff, but I got a few things to tell you and show you:

1. I love chocolate and I got pretty excited when I saw my father bought some Kit Kat for me and my sister.
2. My sister likes to bake every once in a while and this time she made cupcakes. I wanted them with frosting, but she just did the hard sugar coat on top, which is also delicious.
3. I order that mockingjay pin from Amazon and let me tell you, I'm in love with it. I'm a huge Hunger Games fan, so this was something that I needed to have.
4. I did not plan it, but my nails (Pink Friday by OPI) matched the lip design on my sweater...and I was happy about it. Pink is my favorite color, by the way :)

5. That's another picture of my nails; like I said, it's Pink Friday by OPI, which is my all time favorite nail polish.
6. Finally, The Hunger Games came out in Spain, and I went to see it right away. I bought my tickets 2 weeks in advance because I did not want to miss it. There's no need to say it was amazing!! Although they made up some stuff that was not in the book, I really liked it.
7. That's the "famous" clock tower in Madrid. It's famous here because it's where we celebrate new year's eve, but you probably haven't heard of it. It's close to the movie theater I went, so I took a picture to show it to all of you.
8. That's me when I received the mockingjay pin. You can tell I was pretty excited about it LOL

I hope you all had a great week :)

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

I've seen this tag all around YouTube and on blogs too, so last week I decided to film it for my youtube channel and I thought I'd be nice to do a post here too so all of you can also see my answers :)

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? I chose my Elf Hypershine Gloss, which were around 1.50€ each (I don't remember the exact price). These are not the best of quality since they're pretty sticky, but if I only apply a little I don't mind.

What is your most expensive? That's my Urban Decay Naked Palette that I believe I got for 40€ aprox. I'm sure all of you have heard of it and probably own it, so there's no need to say how amazing it is.

2. WRATH: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? For me that's BB Creams and primer. I like the idea of BB creams but the one I have, which is the Garnier one, is a little bit oily for me and also, even though I got the light one, it's a bit dark for my skin tone. And I like primer, but I hate to wait till it dries even if it only takes 10 seconds because I'm always rushing in the morning.

3. GLUTTONY: What are your most delicious beauty products? I chose two: my EOS lipbalm in Lemon Drop because it smells like lemon but in a sweet way (one of my friends tells me that she wants to eat it every time she smells it); and my NYX soft matte lip cream in the color Tokyo because it smells like a combination of cupcake frosting and cotton candy.

4. SLOTH: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness? That has to be primer. Like I said, I'm always in a rush and I never take the time to apply it. I know it can make a difference, but I don't want to be late to class, and I don't have much patience either.

5. PRIDE: What beauty product gives you the most self confidence? Again I'm choosing two, this time because I think I need to use both together: foundation and concealer. No one likes to have bad skin and I feel like if you see that you're skin looks nice, then you feel a little bit better about yourself, at least I do.

Maybelline super stay 24 hours foundation (in Cameo) and Pure Cover Mineral Concealer (in Sand)
6. LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex? Physically I like guys who are taller than me (I'm 5'7" - 1.70m) who have a nice smile. Also I love blue eyes, but I also like guys with green and brown eyes. Also I like guys who like to have fun, have a nice sense of humor and are smart. Do I ask for too much? haha

7. ENVY: What items would you most like to receive as a gift? If I know pretty well the person who's giving me the gift, then I'm probably going to like whatever it is; but if I don't know that person too much or they don't know what I like, then I find gifts a little bit awkward. Overall, I like to get things from people who know what I like or things that I have asked for (obviously I only ask my parents and sister for specific stuff).

In case you want to watch it, here's my video:

New bracelets from H&M

Hey guys! I went to H&M the other day and I got these bracelets that I'm in love with. I think they're perfect for this spring time and also for the summer time. Also, since they were from H&M, they were pretty cheap (although I don't remember the exact price), which is amazing for the quality.

The first one is this rose gold one that has kind of pastel orange links in the middle. I love it because it's bright and it definitively pops up if you're wearing a white top.

Then these two came together but I'm going to wear them separately, I think. I think they're great because they're right on the pastel trend and the chain part is gold, which makes it even more pretty. I was going to tell who how I like the mint one more, but looking at them while taking the pictures, I really cannot decide; they're both really cute.

Weekly photos #1

I'm gonna start to do this since everyone seems to be doing it and I think it's pretty fun and interesting to see what we all do every week and some highlights in our lives.

1. Metro escalators: I hate public transportation in general, but I can do buses. Anyway I take the subway every day and it's the worst...I get so annoyed by everyone and people push me, touch me, it's not the cleanest and such...ugh
2. I love food but I didn't use to like pasta. Recently I've been loving it :)
3. I curled my hair haha. This happens so rarely that it's like an event...not really but it's nice to look a little bit different for once. I never curl it because I have to do it in the morning and I don't have time on week days.
4. This is just one street here in Madrid. I love walking around, listening to music on my iphone and drinking something from Starbucks...so relazing.

I didn't do much this week, but I'll try to take more photos next week.

Nail of the day - Dress Me Up

This is the color I've been wearing for a few days now, and it's "dress me up" from China Glaze's Hunger Games collection.
I thought it was going to be more pink than it actually is, because it just has pink undertones but as you can see it's kind of an earthy color. Anyways, once I got over how it wasn't pink at all, I really liked it and I'm gonna be wearing it a lot more times.

Also from this Hunger Games collection, which I believe it's officially called Capitol Colors, I bought "Fast track" and "Foie Gras", so hopefully you'll be seeing those soon enough.

PD: if you didn't know, I started a YouTube channel last week, so if you have time please check it out here :)...and thank you!

What's in my bag? + YouTube channel

Firts I want to say thank you to the people who encouraged me to make a YouTube channel. It's something that I have been wanting to do for the longest time (even before creating this blog) but I never did. So my first video was a What's in my bag. I don't know if you watch YouTube videos but those ones are really popular in the beauty and fashion community.

I'm still going to post things here, some are going to be the same as my videos and some will be completely different. But today, since I made that video, I'm gonna do kind of the same thing but in blog mode.

My bag is from H&M and it was around 20-30€ I don't remember the exact price.
Then you can pretty much see the rest of things but here are the lipglosses ann lipstick with their names:
- NYX mega shine lipgloss in "Tea Rose"
- NYX girls lipgloss in "Mauve"
- Elf lipgloss in "Baby Lips"
- MAC lipstick in "Creme cup" (which is my favorite MAC lipstick)
- NYX tinted lip spa in "Sake"

Also, my sunglesses are from Topshop, the compact mirror is from Forever 21 and the hand lotion is "Secret Wonderland" from Bath & Body Works.

Here's the video where I explain everything:

Update

Hello guys!
So I'm sorry this post has no beauty or fashion content but I wanted to ask you all a question and hopefully someone will answer.
I was thinking about maybe making a YouTube channel. I'd still be posting in my blog but I feel like videos would give me more opportunities to make tutorials, better outfits of the day and also vlogs.

What do you think?
And also, if I make it...should I call it girlyframe or something else?

Thank you so much if you're reading this!

March 2012 Favorites!

It's been a while since I've done my monthly favorites but that's just because I didn't think I really had anything new or interesting to show. I'm gonna do my beauty, nail polish, music, iPhone app and random favorites this month; so it's more than just a few products.

BEAUTY:

1. Elf Stipple Brush which I've been using to apply blush.
2. NYX blush in "Peach". I don't know why it's called peach, but it's just a very light pink that looks great if you're pale like me.
3. MAC eyeshadow in "snow season"
4. Maybelline super stay 24h foundation in "cameo". I've been having some acne problems this month and this has helped me cover them. I really like this foundation.

NAIL POLISH:

1. Make An Entrance by China Glaze. (You can see it on this nail of the day post)
2. I Lily Love You by OPI (I've used it for an accent nail while wearing make an entrance)
3. Pink Friday by OPI. This is probably my favorite pink shade of all time.

MUSIC:
1. Part of me - Katy Perry

2. Rumour has it - Adele

IPHONE APP:
1. Wunderlist: I'm a list freak. I make lists for everything in my life: books I want to read, movies I want to watch, nail polishes I want to buy, college assignments, posts I want to write, songs I want to listen to that have been recommended to me...and it goes on and on. This app is really great and it keeps everything well organized.

RANDOM:
1. Sketching: I'm not gonna lie, I'm not good at drawing, at all; but I sometimes have ideas in my mind of dresses and outfits and I'm starting to learn how to draw figures a little bit better. I'm watching tutorials online and all that so I can draw something decent. Here are two of my sketches.
