Nail of the day - Gold and red

It's almost December and that means Christmas is around the corner, so I wanted to do something festive with my nails. I'm not good at nail art, so I thought I'd just do an accent nail.

I chose Essie's Headmistress and OPI's Goldeneye (from the James Bond collection) for that one accent nail, this is what it looks like:

I applied 2 coats of each nail polish. As you can see, the Essie one is completely opaque but the OPI one could have used another coat because it's a glitter nail polish on a clear base (although it's thicker than most glitter polishes)

I really like the combination of these two colors and I think it's perfect for the holidays.

Weekly photos #33

I'm sorry I was not able to upload this yesterday, but here it is :)

1. Some Christmas decorations on the street. I really love Christmas lights around the city, it makes a huge difference.
2. I'm so obsessed with those booties. I got them this past week at Bershka for 30€ and I love them so much!
3. This is spanish paella. My mom made it yesterday for lunch and even though I'm not a fan of it, I have to say that it was pretty good.
4. This Christmas decoration has been hanging in my room for 3 years. I don't think I've ever shown it to you, but when I was an exchange student in the US one of my friend's mom made it for me, and I love it.

5. I got Lady Gaga's perfume last week and it smells really good. I thought it was going to be strong, but it's more of a sweet scent...that was a nice surprise.
6. You all know I love salad. I don't know what else to say.
7. My father got a pineapple and he cut it like that. I always put sugar on mine because, even though no one else thinks so, I think it tastes sour.
8. And my cat in her little cave aka my duvet, my pillow and a stuffed animal haha she stayed in there for like 5 hours.

Nail of the day - Live and let die

I recently got 2 nail polishes from OPI's James Bond collection and this is one of them. It's called Live And Let Die (since all of them have names from the movies) and I'd describe it as a dark base, which I see as a mixture of navy, green and grey, with tons of fine green and gold glitter.

and, you know what's amazing about it? ...I only applied ONE coat of the nail polish!! It's crazy how creamy and opaque this nail polish is. Obviously, it starts chipping earlier if you only do 1 coat, but still, it has lasted around 4 days perfectly.

Did you get any nail polishes from this James Bond collection? Did you like them? Let me know :)

Weekly photos #32

Why do I feel like every single week I tell you that I'm stressed? This is my third year in college and it's the first one that I'm getting pressure and stress. I don't know if it's because of the schedule or something else, but I barely have time to turn my essays in and study for exams.

1. Since I barely have time for anything and I don't like thinking about lunch ideas, I eat pasta at least 4 times a week. Crazy!
2. I'm so excited to watch Breaking Dawn part 2! I might go watch it this week with my friend Cristina, so I'll tell you what I think about it.
3. Selfie in the entrance of my building...I don't really know what you call it lol
4. I got a package from Beauty Bay! :) I bought 3 nail polishes that I'll be showing you soon and then I just got another Urban Decay all nighter spray cause I run out of mine.

Outfits of the week | November 5th-8th

I recently posted my outfits of the week from Nevember 5th through 8th on my YouTube channel. I sometimes post here my outfits of the day and I thought some of you might like seeing what I wore during the whole week (well actually from Monday to Thursday cause I didn't have class on Friday) even if it's a video instead of a traditional post.

In the video I also say where everything is from, even my nail polish.

Here are some pictures from this week :)

1. I took that picture on Wednesday. If you want to see my whole outfit, click here.
2. I bought a bag of marshmallows just cause they were by the cash register and I was waiting in line. I always find myself getting those things just cause they're there. They get me every single time!
3. I made a green juice following Benji's recipe (Benji from Benjimantv on Youtube or Judy's husband). It was quite good and definitely very healthy. It just has spinach, apple, lemon and water.
4. Then something not as healthy: muffins. These were made by my sister, so it wasn't as bad, and they were amazing. When my sister gets bored, she bakes lol.

OOTD | On Wednesdays we wear pink

Hello guys! Today I thought I'd do an outfit of the day post and, like the title says, I wore this last Wednesday. I always love it when I wear pink on Wednesdays without thinking about it (if you don't get the reference, I highly suggest you watch the movie "Mean Girls" because it's one of the funniest movies ever).

I'm sorry the light in these pictures is kind of weird, but it's been very cloudy lately and therefore, light in my room is not the best.

Sweater - Topshop
Jeans - Forever 21
Boots - Stradivarius
Belt - Lefties
Necklace - Marc by Marc Jacobs

Paris palette by Sigma | Review and swatches

Today I want to review a Sigma palette for you. The reason why I want to do this is because this palette is fairly expensive and it's nice to see what you're going to get if you decide to spend the money on it.

First of all, now that I've started with that, it costs $59. I found a coupon online so I didn't have to pay shipping, which was very nice. This palette is limited edition but it's been on their website for a while now, so I don't know when they're going to stop selling it.

The palette comes with a sleeve that is, in my opinion, prettier than the actual palette but whatever, the important part are the eyeshadows and blushes.

Here's a picture of everything that comes with it. The brushes are travel sized ones: the eyeshadow one is an E55 and the blush one is the F40. Then it comes with 8 Paris-named eyeshadows and 3 french-named blushes. Everything is gorgeous if you ask me.

Here are some swatches of all the eyeshadows in opposite order of the photo above, so: Versailles, Triomphe, Notre Dame, Elysées, Orsay, Louvre, Seine and Eiffel. The only matte color is Louvre, which is kind of disappointing, but since all the colors are so pretty, I'm not complaining too much about it.

These are the blushes in the same order, so: Rouge, Pêche and Lumiére.

Overall I think it's worth the money because everything is pretty, wearable and pigmented. Obviously, most colors are not for every day use, but they're perfect if you're going somewhere where you want to "dress up" your make up a little bit, or even if you just want to wear a more sophisticated look.

Weekly photos #30

It's November now guys! I can't believe October is over, but it's a good thing because nothing good happened that month. Let's hope this one comes a little better :)

1. Salads are my favorite thing to eat, and recently I've been adding apple to them cause I just hate apples by themselves. I think it's a great idea to eat fruit without barely noticing.
2. I was so happy with my pumpkin, but sadly I had to throw it away cause it was going bad (obviously). But oh well, I'll make a new one next year.
3 & 4. I've been wanting to re-do and organize my room. This week I organized part of my closet, mostly tops, by color and I put away my summer ones; and earlier today I organized my shoes. There are two rows in that dresser and I also had to keep some in boxes cause they wouldn't fit in there. I also put my boots out on the lowest part of my shelf thing so I have easy access to them.

October 2012 Favorites!

I've been very busy this month and I feel like I'm making excuses in every single post recently but here I am, and I'm going to try to post more frequently.
My favorites this month have been:

For my lips I chose this Baby Lips by Maybelline in the color "pink punch", the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in the color "sweetheart" and the L'Oreal Caresse lipstick in the color "mauve cherie".

As for eyeshadow, I've been loving these two L'Oreal color infallible shadows; the colors are "pebble grey" and "hourglass beige". They're both very pigmented and gorgeous.

I've also been loving these two blushes: the first one is the Tarte amazonian clay 12-hour blush in the color "dollface" and the other one is a MAC blush in the color "stay pretty" which came out in a recent collection, so I don't know if it's still available or not. The brush that I've been using a lot to apply my brush is from Forever 21 (which is crazy to me) and it's the softest ever! It came in a set for around 8€.

This is a little more random but I've been loving that bracelet from H&M and a cleansing water from Biotherm biosource, which is actually a foam when you pump it.

What have you been loving this month?

xoxo
